How to Set Up Alerts and Safeties

Setting up alerts and safeties allows you to monitor and safeguard your engine’s performance, especially in high-demand situations, and prevent engine damage. With FuelTech’s advanced systems, you can easily configure custom alerts and safety measures to prevent potential damage and ensure your engine runs smoothly. This step-by-step guide will help you configure key parameters, from temperature thresholds to pressure limits, providing peace of mind and protecting your investment. Whether you're new to tuning or an experienced professional, this guide will ensure your system is properly set up for optimal safety.

1. In the FTMANAGER software, go to the quick access panel on the left, scroll all the way down and click ALERT SETTINGS

2. From here, check which alerts and safeties you want to enable.

3. You have three options for an alert or safety, Engine Shut OFF, Warning Only, or Engine Safe Mode (Safe Mode limits the engine's RPM to a pre-programmed value).
